Emergency Medical Technician

The Emergency Medical Technician program is taught to Department of Transportation standards. This class is the next step after First Responder. The training is designed to train the first people at the scene in victim care. The class is a must for any industry wishing to have a more advanced team than first responder and a requirement for high angle rescue and confined space rescue teams. Upon successful completion of the class participants will take a state and national exam to attain their certification.

This class is a minimum of 225 hours and requires 24 hours of ambulance ride time and 24 hours of ER time. Refreshers are required every two years, a 24 hour refresher class and 48 hours of continuing education.
